You keep trying to make the threshold easier to cross.
You stretch farther. You climb harder. You put down what you are carrying so both hands are free to pull you into a life that was supposed to fit you.
But perhaps the threshold was never the problem.
Before you make yourself smaller to enter, look beneath your feet. A beautifully renovated life can still be structurally misaligned with the person living inside it.
Sometimes the work is not lowering the threshold.
Sometimes you raise the foundation.
